Abstract: Das wissenschaftliche Publikationswesen befindet sich in einer Transformation mit dem Ziel, offene Zugänge, faire Kriterien und Transparenz zu manifestieren. Das Projekt „openCost: automatisierte, standardisierte Lieferung und offene Bereitstellung von Publikationskosten und Verlagsvereinbarungen" stellt einen Baustein im Aufbau des angestrebten Informationsbudgets dar. openCost lässt sich als Werkzeug verstehen, um Finanzströme offenzulegen und eine automatisierte sowie standardisierte Infrastruktur im Publikationskostenmanagement einer wissenschaftlichen Einrichtung zu gewährleisten. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die Projektinitiative, ihren methodischen Ansatz, Neuigkeiten zum openCost-Metadatenschema sowie Praxisvorteile, die sich durch die technische Schnittstelle und EZB-Erweiterung ergeben. The scholarly publishing system is undergoing a transformation with the aim of manifesting open access, fair criteria and transparency. The project „openCost: automated, standardized delivery and open provisionof publication costs and publishing agreements" represents a building block in the development of the desired information budget. openCost can be understood as a tool to disc/ose financial flows and to ensure an automated and standardized infrastructure in the publication cost management of a scientific institution. This article provides an overview of the project initiative, its methodological approach, news an the openCost metadata schema and the practical advantages resulting from the technical interface and EZB extension.
