Abstract: SciPost is a diamond open access academic publishing platform. As part of its Genuine Open Access Principles, open finances is one of the fundamental pillars of transparency on which the initiative is based. In this talk, I introduce the way in which our financial data is reported, from how we compute the cost of a publication, to the net impact of individual organisation's publishing activities in SciPost and the support we receive from our Sponsors. This framework is proposed as a model for reporting finances of any interested diamond open access initiative, with the possibility for them to apply for the use of our financial reporting tools.Biography:Sergio Tapias, Executive Director at SciPost, is a physicist by training. After conducting his PhD research at the University of Amsterdam, he started working for the Diamond Open Access publisher with the goal of improving the publishing landscape. In this role, he has gained experience in all the operational aspects of the platform, from editorial policies to fundraising.
