Abstract: For years, DESY Library has used so-called "processing slips" for acquiring and cataloguing print media. Using simple HTML forms with standard elements like checkboxes, radio buttons, text fields, and dropdown menus, these slips serve as checklists for acquisition, cataloguing, and book finishing. They are generated almost entirely automatically from the bibliographic record, pre-filled, printed, and attached to the media. Koha’s standard functionality does not yet include a feature for generating such forms. To continue using them after migrating to Koha, a simple plugin was developed as part of the join2koha (j2k) project. It integrates into the cataloguing module and allows creating these slips in nearly the same way as before. Technically, the plugin relies on Reports, Notices and Slips, and authorised value entries, enabling the creation of similar forms beyond just processing slips. This talk addresses the requirements for such a system and presents the chosen solution, focusing on practical aspects rather than delving deeply into technical implementation details.
