Abstract: Post-compression achieving large compression factors typically goes hand in hand with temporal pulse quality degradation. We numerically demonstrate a mitigation strategy using chirping and polarization rotation, achieving a very smooth spectrum with 99% of the compressed pulse energy in the main pulse.
