Abstract: The Gun 5.2 is the latest generation of high-gradient, normal-conducting RF guns that operate at 1.3 GHz. It has been designed for high-duty-cycle operation at European XFEL, with improved stability and reliability. The gun has been tested with RF pulses of up to 610 $\mu$s, and no significant deformation due to pulse heating has been observed. A symmetric RF feed was also successfully implemented. This configuration enables operation at higher RF power and reduces the power load on each RF window by 50\% by using two input arms. Thanks to the in-cavity RF probe(s), no critical issues in LLRF regulation have been observed due to the cross-talk between the directional couplers on the waveguide arms (which is negligible).A new laser viewport design providing direct optical access to the cathode has been validated, eliminating the need for an in-vacuum mirror. Together with the improved cathode contact spring and the new $\mu$-mover system for precise solenoid magnet alignment, Gun 5.2 met its performance requirements within a short commissioning periodCompared to previous guns, Gun 5.2 achieved longer RF pulse lengths with higher efficiency, more stable beam operation, and a significantly lower mini-breakdown rate. This report summarizes Gun 5.2's conditioning performance and beam-operation statistics collected between January and September 2025.
