Abstract: Diffractive events in proton-positron deep inelastic scattering are studied at HERA with the ZEUS detector. The selection criterium is based either on the presence of rapidity gap, productd through the exchange of pomeron between the outgoing proton system and the remaining hadronic system, or on the identification of the diffracted proton by the ZEUS Leading Proton Spectrometer. The properties of the events are investigated and measurements of the diffractive cross section and the diffractive structure function are presented.
