Abstract: PETRA IV project is to upgrade PETRA III to a synchrotron radiation source with an ultra-low emittance. Due to the small dynamic aperture of the PETRA IV storage ring, a horizontal on-axis injection is prepared. In this paper, the preliminary study of the injection scheme is described. To meet the requirements of the on-axis injection, a plan of a new injector complex, including the Gun, the LINAC and the accumulator is shown in this paper. Several options are discussed in this paper, too.
