Abstract: Measurements of soft and hard particle production in proton-lead collisions at the LHC have provided surprising results. Measurements of jets and high-$\pt$ hadrons have shown an unexpected enhancement in the production of high-$\pt$ charged particles and a similarly unexpected variation of the jet yield with proton-lead collision centrality.Studies of correlations in the production of soft particles have provided results that suggest strong collective behaviorsimilar to that observed in lead-lead collisions. We give a brief report on the latest proton-lead measurements done by ATLAS.
