Report No.: ATLAS-CONF-2014-032

Abstract: This note describes the algorithms used for the reconstruction and identification of prompt electrons in the central region of the ATLAS detector for the pp collisions data collected in 2012 at s √ = 8 TeV. The efficiency of these algorithms is measured using Z→ee , Z→eeγ and J/ψ→ee decays using the full dataset, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb −1 .
