The experimental data were modelled simultaneously with the reverse Monte Carlo simulation method. Analysis of the partial pair correlation functions and coordination numbers extracted from the model atomic configurations revealed that silver preferentially bonds to sulfur in the As(2)S(3)-Ag ternary glasses, which results in the formation of homoatomic As-As bonds. Upon the addition of Ag, a small proportion of Ag-As bonds (N(AgAs)≈0.3) are formed in all three ternary compositions, while the direct Ag-Ag bonds (N(AgAg)≈ 0.4) appear only in the glass with the highest Ag content (12 at.%). Similar to the g- As(2)S(3) binary, the mean coordination number of arsenic is close to three, and that of sulfur is close to two, in the As(2)S(3)-Ag ternary glasses. The first sharp diffraction peak on the total structure factors of As(2)S(3) binary and (As(0.4)S(0.6))(100-x)Ag(x) ternary glasses is related to the As-As and As-S correlations. 000087993 536__ $$0G:(DE-H253)POF1-X1-20130405$$aDORIS Beamline X1 (POF1-550)$$cPOF1-550$$fPOF I$$x0 000087993 536__ $$0G:(DE-H253)POF1-BW5-20130405$$aDORIS Beamline BW5 (POF1-550)$$cPOF1-550$$fPOF I$$x1 000087993 536__ $$0G:(DE-H253)II-20060203$$aFS-Proposal: II-20060203 (II-20060203)$$cII-20060203$$x2 000087993 588__ $$aDataset connected to Pubmed 000087993 693__ $$0EXP:(DE-H253)D-X1-20150101$$1EXP:(DE-H253)DORISIII-20150101$$6EXP:(DE-H253)D-X1-20150101$$aDORIS III$$fDORIS Beamline X1$$x0 000087993 693__ $$0EXP:(DE-H253)D-BW5-20150101$$1EXP:(DE-H253)DORISIII-20150101$$6EXP:(DE-H253)D-BW5-20150101$$aDORIS III$$fDORIS Beamline BW5$$x1 000087993 7001_ $$aJóvári, P. 000087993 7001_ $$aWagner, T. 000087993 7001_ $$aFrumar, M. 000087993 7001_ $$aStehlik, S. 000087993 7001_ $$aBartos, M. 000087993 7001_ $$aHoyer, W. 000087993 7001_ $$aBeuneu, B. 000087993 7001_ $$aWebb, M.
