QCD Measurements

2026

Aspen2026, AspenAspen, USA, 1 Feb 2026 - 6 Feb 20262026-02-012026-02-06  GO

Report No.: ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2025-738

Abstract: The precision probe of Quantum Chromodynamics at the high-energy frontier offers unprecedented opportunities to uncover long mysteries in the strong interaction sector. This talk will highlight endeavors and achievements from the ATLAS and CMS experiments in milestone QCD measurements, including 1) the precision determination of strong coupling and its running; 2) test of state-of-art QCD predictions via precision differential measurements in channels such as single vector bosons, V+jets and multi-jets; 3) novel probe of jet substructure and event track correlation; 4) next level of double parton interaction measurements; 5) determination of parton density functions using unique LHC data, etc.
