Abstract: “Cosmic Solitude” is an exploration of solitude and isolation in what was probably the Soviet Union's largest cosmic ray research station, located in my homeland Armenia. Today, only three people live and work at this station 24 hours a day, all year round. This book visually documents life in an isolated and almost forgotten place in the mountains of Armenia, but in reality it explores the full range of meanings of what it is to be human and alone.
