Abstract: The workshop “Two Decades of Rapid Compression Diamond Anvil Cell Research: Present and Future Developments” brought together 45 experts in the field of rapid compression science from all over the world. After each session there was a discussion about where the field could develop scientifically and technically in the future. In this report we summaries some of the directions and developments that were discussed.
