Measuring standard model parameters with top-quark cross sections

Abstract: Precise top quark cross section measurements (inclusive and differential) from ATLAS and CMS are confronted with recent theory calculations to extract parameters of the SM, such as the top quark mass and the top quark Yukawa coupling, and also constrain parton distribution functions. The presentation is expected to cover in part theoretical considerations necessary particularly at high precision
