Abstract: AbstractThis thesis presents a measurement of the fiducial differential cross-section with respect to pT of Higgs boson production, using the diphoton decay channel. Theanalysis uses 20:3 fb-1 of proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 8TeV taken with the ATLAS detector in the year 2012. The diphoton invariantmass spectrum is measured, and a fitting procedure is used to extract the signal. The measured signal is corrected for detector ineffciencies and resolution effectsto produce a fiducial differential cross-section, which is compared to theoretical predictions. The measurement is statistically limited, but broadly compatible withtheoretical expectations.
