Direct Observation of the Exciton-Polaron in Single CsPbBr$_3$ Quantum Dots
ACS nano 19(31), 28372 - 28382 () [10.1021/acsnano.5c06716]  GO
The Outstanding optoelectronic properties of lead halide perovskites have been related to the formation of polarons. Nevertheless, the observation of the atomistic deformation brought about by one electron–hole pair in these materials has remained elusive [...]

Configuration, Performance, and Commissioning of the ATLAS b-jet Triggers for the 2022 and 2023 LHC data-taking periods
[CERN-EP-2025-004; arXiv:2501.11420]
In 2022 and 2023, the Large Hadron Collider producedapproximately two billion hadronic interactions each second frombunches of protons that collide at a rate of 40 MHz. The ATLAStrigger system is used to reduce this rate to a few kHz forrecording. [...]

Search for heavy neutral leptons in decays of W bosons using leptonic and semi-leptonic displaced vertices in $ \sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-052; arXiv:2503.16213]
A search is performed for long-lived heavy neutral leptons (HNLs), produced through the decay of a W boson along with a muon or electron. Two channels are explored: a leptonic channel, in which the HNL decays into two leptons and a neutrino, and a semi-leptonic channel, in which the HNL decays into a lepton and a charged pion [...]

Search for a new pseudoscalar decaying into a pair of bottom and antibottom quarks in top-associated production in $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV proton–proton collisions with the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-060; arXiv:2503.17254]
A search for a pseudoscalar $a$ produced in association with a top-quark pair, or in association with a single top quark plus a $W$ boson, with the pseudoscalar decaying into b-quarks ($a\rightarrow b\bar{b}$), is performed using the full Run 2 data sample using a dileptonic decay mode signature. The search covers pseudoscalar boson masses between 12 and 100 GeV and involves both the kinematic regime where the decay products of the pseudoscalar are reconstructed as two standard $b$-tagged small-radius jets, or merged into a large-radius jet due to its Lorentz boost. [...]

Searches for direct slepton production in the compressed-mass corridor in $ \sqrt{\textrm{s}} $ = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-039; arXiv:2503.17186]
This paper presents searches for the direct pair production of charged light-flavour sleptons, each decaying into a stable neutralino and an associated Standard Model lepton. The analyses focus on the challenging “corridor” region, where the mass difference, ∆m, between the slepton ($ \overset{\sim }{e} $ or $ \overset{\sim }{\mu } $) and the lightest neutralino ($ {\overset{\sim }{\chi}}_1^0 $) is less or similar to the mass of the W boson, m(W), with the aim to close a persistent gap in sensitivity to models with ∆m ≲ m(W) [...]

Measurements of the production cross-sections of a Higgs boson in association with a vector boson and decaying into WW$^{*}$ with the ATLAS detector at $ \sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV
[CERN-EP-2025-037; arXiv:2503.19420]
Measurements of the total and differential Higgs boson production cross-sections, via WH and ZH associated production using H → WW$^{*}$ → ℓνℓν and H → WW$^{*}$ → ℓνjj decays, are presented. The analysis uses proton-proton events delivered by the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector between 2015 and 2018 [...]

Reconfigurable Soft Actuators Constructed via Layer-by-layer Assembly
Stimuli-responsive actuators are candidates for the development of soft robots due to their shape deformation and environmental adaptation capabilities. Adaptation to environmental stimuli not only enables complex shape reprogramming but also benefits the recovery of mechanical injuries of the soft actuators. [...]

Future e+e− colliders, such as the FCC-ee, aim to test the Standard Model to the ultimateprecision. This requires synergistic progress in detector technology and data analysis techniques. This thesis comprehensively presents the interlinked efforts targeting these goals.Jet flavour identification algorithms play a crucial role in maximally exploiting the physicspotential of the FCC-ee, particularly in the Higgs and electroweak sectors. The FCC-ee is the first stage of a two stage project which would envision a 92 km tunnelbeing used for an electron-positron collider experiment starting around 2045, and a proton-proton collider in the 2070’s. The FCC-ee offers unprecedented precision tests of the StandardModel, owing to its clean leptonic collision environment and exquisite luminosity [...]
