%X In this talk we present Helmholtz ID at Home (HIDaH) - an OpenID Connect Provider for testing and development. Testing the integration of applications into identity federations may require relying on staging systems where arbitrary identities can't be simulated easily or require running resource-intensive identity providers on local development machines. In response to these challenges we developed HIDaH: It enables developers and service integrators to run a single-container solution providing a drop-in simulation of the Helmholtz Association's federated identity provider Helmholtz ID. Arbitrary user profile values can be simulated for testing an application's behavior in different scenarios. Today, HIDaH is a core component in end-to-end testing of the Helmholtz Cloud portal and has been used at multiple Helmholtz centers to facilitate service integration into Helmholtz ID and the Helmholtz Cloud platform. HIDaH is developed as open source software and may provide an adaptable blueprint for other identity federations facing similar challenges.
