Hyperons are especially interesting in this regard as their weak decay provides access to their polarization via an asymmetric decay distribution, something that can be analyzed relatively easily. The HERMES experiment at DESY, utilizing the 27.6 GeV electron or positron beam of HERA impinging on pure nuclear gas targets was dedicated to the study of mainly the spin structure of the proton but also other spin effects. Transverse polarization of Lambda hyperons in the scattering of unpolarized leptons by unpolarised nuclei has been observed and spin correlations between the polarized leptons and final-state Lambda hyperons in deep- inelastic scattering have been studied, results of which will be presented in this contribution. 000643161 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-611$$a611 - Fundamental Particles and Forces (POF4-611)$$cPOF4-611$$fPOF IV$$x0 000643161 693__ $$0EXP:(DE-588)4517776-4$$1EXP:(DE-588)4159571-3$$5EXP:(DE-588)4517776-4$$aHERA$$eHERA: HERMES$$x0 000643161 7001_ $$0P:(DE-H253)PIP1007090$$aSchnell, Gunar$$b1$$eCorresponding author 000643161 7001_ $$0P:(DE-H253)PIP1093415$$aShibata, Toshiaki$$b2 000643161 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aHERMES Collaboration$$b3$$eCollaboration author 000643161 8564_ $$uhttps://www.gakkai-web.net/jps/jps_e_program/2025sp/index.html 000643161 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/643161/files/JPS%202025%20-%20Gunar%20Schnell.pdf$$yRestricted 000643161 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/643161/files/JPS%202025%20-%20Gunar%20Schnell.pdf?subformat=pdfa$$xpdfa$$yRestricted 000643161 909CO $$ooai:bib-pubdb1.desy.de:643161$$pVDB 000643161 9101_ $$0I:(DE-HGF)0$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1001917$$aExternal Institute$$b0$$kExtern 000643161 9101_ $$0I:(DE-HGF)0$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1007090$$aExternal Institute$$b1$$kExtern 000643161 9101_ $$0I:(DE-HGF)0$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1093415$$aExternal Institute$$b2$$kExtern 000643161 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-611$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-610$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-600$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bForschungsbereich Materie$$lMatter and the Universe$$vFundamental Particles and Forces$$x0 000643161 9141_ $$y2025 000643161 9201_ $$0I:(DE-H253)HERMES-20120731$$kHERMES$$lHERMES Kollaboration$$x0 000643161 980__ $$aconf 000643161 980__ $$aVDB 000643161 980__ $$aI:(DE-H253)HERMES-20120731 000643161 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
