AB - In this talk, the importance of the search potential for heavy neutral leptons (HNLs), i.e. heavy non-SM neutrinos, are presented. The status of limits from cosmology, collider and non-collider experiments is reviewed, especially the limits from LHC and why searches at e+e- colliders like CEPC can compete and even outperform. Different regimes of HNLs are reviewed: disapperaring tracks, displaced vertices and prompt production searches. Also, the possible discrimination of the Dirac vs. Majorana case as well as oscillation signatures of pseudo-Dirac neutrinos are discussed.
