Note: Laser technology has undergone significant advancements and breakthroughs, emerging as a crucial driver of innovation for various societal applications and products. Its contributions to economic growth and the resolution of health, environmental and energy challenges are substantial. In this context, the EU-funded Lasers4EU project aims to establish a virtual distributed laser research infrastructure by integrating major European laser research facilities. This infrastructure will offer academic and industrial users access to high-end instruments and scientific capabilities. The project seeks to bolster Europe's leading position and competitiveness by coordinating laser research activities, restructuring the European landscape of laser research infrastructure and enhancing European human resources in the field of laser science.
