%X Synchrotron radiation sources play a vital role in the study of cultural and natural heritage, enabling non-destructive analysis of archaeological artifacts, historical objects, artworks, and human remains. The SESAME synchrotron radiation facility in Jordan fosters scientific collaboration among Middle Eastern and international researchers and provides advanced analytical capabilities in a region rich in cultural heritage. As part of efforts to strengthen SESAME’s role in heritage science, the workshop "Bridging Natural Science, German Institutions, and Cultural Heritage in the Middle East" was held on December 3–4, 2024, at SESAME and the Jordan Museum. Organized by DESY, HZDR, and SESAME, the event brought together 40 experts from Germany and the Middle East to explore SESAME’s potential in cultural heritage research through contributed talks, discussions, and networking opportunities.
