%X Introduction: The FLASHlab@PITZ at DESY’s Photo Injector Test facilityexplores electron FLASH radiation therapy across a wide parameterspectrum. The startup beamline includes a 60⁰ dipole, BPMs, ICT,Faraday cup, screen stations, titanium window, experimental area, andFaraday cup in air. It delivers electron beams < 22 MeV to theexperimental area, offering conventional and ultra-high dose rates of0.05 Gy/s and several 105 Gy/s, respectively. The C-Robot, a CERNdeveloped open-source device [1], can optimize beam positionalignment and dose delivery. This work presents the commissioningof the C-Robot at the FLASHlab@PITZ experimental area.Materials </td><td width="150">
%X Methods: The C-Robot provides precise positioning forsample irradiation with 50 μm accuracy in three axes. A customdesigned 3D-printed holder with a YAG screen and a 45⁰ mirror servedas a beam tracker. Real-time feedback was provided by a cameraattached to the grabber. MATLAB script was adapted for fine-tuningirradiation positioning. Results: The hardware installation was completed, and softwareadjustments enhanced beam positioning accuracy forFLASHlab@PITZ. Commissioning ensured reproducible beam alignments and reliable dosimetry measurements, improving dose deliveryto experiments investigating the FLASH effect in radiation therapy.Summary: The C-Robot is easy to mount and adapt, and can be used asthe main tool for sample irradiation and medical application toolsdevelopment. The open-source codes were implemented and adaptedfor use at PITZ.Reference:[1] Korysko P. et al. “The CLEAR user facility: a review of theexperimental methods and future plans” in Proc.
