To this end, the small clusters were ionised using 100 eV photons from a Free-Electron Laser and the momenta of the created ion fragments and electrons were measured using the Reaction Microscope at FLASH2. Employing an XUV/XUV pump-probe scheme, the timescale to distribute energy or charge throughout the cluster following local excitation was determined to below (186+-6) fs for dimers decaying into Xe$^{1+}$ / Xe$^{2+}$ and (84+-13) fs for trimers decaying into Xe$^{1+}/Xe^{1+}/Xe^{1+}$. The kinetic energy distributions yield clear evidence that Xe$_2^{2+}$ decays by a slow CT process after bond contraction and Xe$_3^{2+*}$ decays by ETMD(3) before the nuclei can move. Furthermore, we see signatures of frustrated ionisation in Xe$_2$ dimers. 000615688 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-6G2$$a6G2 - FLASH (DESY) (POF4-6G2)$$cPOF4-6G2$$fPOF IV$$x0 000615688 588__ $$aDataset connected to DataCite 000615688 650_7 $$2Other$$a530 Physics 000615688 693__ $$0EXP:(DE-H253)F-FL26-20150901$$1EXP:(DE-H253)FLASHII-20150901$$6EXP:(DE-H253)F-FL26-20150901$$aFLASH2$$fFLASH2 Beamline FL26$$x0 000615688 7001_ $$0P:(DE-H253)PIP1007317$$aMoshammer, Robert$$b1$$eThesis advisor 000615688 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aQuint, Wolfgang$$b2$$eThesis advisor 000615688 773__ $$a10.11588/HEIDOK.00033965 000615688 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/615688/files/Dissertation_Hannes_Lindenblatt.pdf$$yRestricted 000615688 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/615688/files/Dissertation_Hannes_Lindenblatt.pdf?subformat=pdfa$$xpdfa$$yRestricted 000615688 909CO $$ooai:bib-pubdb1.desy.de:615688$$pVDB 000615688 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2008985-5$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1025162$$aDeutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron$$b0$$kDESY 000615688 9101_ $$0I:(DE-HGF)0$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1007317$$aExternal Institute$$b1$$kExtern 000615688 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-6G2$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-6G0$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-600$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bForschungsbereich Materie$$lGroßgeräte: Materie$$vFLASH (DESY)$$x0 000615688 920__ $$lno 000615688 9201_ $$0I:(DE-H253)HAS-User-20120731$$kDOOR ; HAS-User$$lDOOR-User$$x0 000615688 980__ $$aphd 000615688 980__ $$aVDB 000615688 980__ $$aI:(DE-H253)HAS-User-20120731 000615688 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
