%X The Higgs boson is the most recent fundamental particle to be experimentally observed. Due to its large mass and its couplings to massive bosons and fermions, it has a wide variety of decay channels. Among them is the still unobserved rare decay H → Z(<i>l</i>+<i>l</i>−)γ. In this thesis, a search for the Zγ decay mode of the Standard Model Higgs boson as well as potential new higher-mass resonances decaying to the same final state is presented. The analysis is based on a dataset of 36.1 fb−1 of proton-proton collisions collected with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. No significant excess of events over the background-only expectation was observed, and consequently, an upper limit at the 95
