Abstract: In the year 2012 a new particle has been discovered,consistent with the predictions for a Standard-Model (SM)Higgs boson at a mass of 125GeV. Despite strong theoreticalexpectations, no conclusive signs of new physics beyondthe SM have been found. However, some tempting hints tothe presence of new physics persist, two of which I willbe discussing in this talk.The CMS collaboration reported a 3σ (local) excess in thelight Higgs-boson searches in the diphoton decay modeat ~96GeV. The mass range of the possible signal coincides witha 2σ (local) excess measured at LEP in the b bbar final state.Thus, it is an intriguing possibility that both excesses arise froma common origin. We find that the lightest Higgs boson of theNext-to 2 Higgs Doublet Model (N2HDM) is a possible candidate, while thesecond lightest Higgs boson plays the role of the SM Higgs boson.The excesses are most easily accommodated in the type II N2HDM,which resembles the Yukawa sector of supersymmetric models.Therefore, I finally discuss the right-handed sneutrino of theμ-from-ν Supersymmetric Standard Model (μνSSM) as a possibleorigin of the excesses.
