abstract = {While early string theory provided an intriguing
explanation for the observed Regge trajectories of meson
resonances, it failed to reproduce the correct high energy
behavior of scattering amplitudes. This has changed with the
AdS/CFT correspondence. In fact, string theory can now
produce precision results even in the multi-Regge regime. In
this note we review the status of high energy scattering in
planar $\mathcal{N} = 4$ super-Yang--Mills theory, at weak,
strong and intermediate coupling, with a focus on its
integrability and the relation to string theory.},
