abstract = {In this mini review we outline the main experimental and
theoretical results related with the search for light vector
boson proposed as a solution of the muon $g-2$ anomaly. In
particular, we consider a model with infinite number of
light vector bosons which can escape most of current
experimental bounds. We describe also the NA64 experiment at
CERN devoted to the search for light vector boson both in
                      visible and invisible decay modes.},
