First, we re-derive the (resummed) consistency conditions at unequal times using the eikonal approximation. These are solely based on symmetry arguments and are therefore universal. Then, we explore the existence of equal-time relations in the soft limit which, on the other hand, depend on the interplay between soft and hard modes. We scrutinize two approaches in the literature: the time-flow formalism, and a background method where the soft mode is absorbed into a locally curved cosmology. The latter has been recently used to set up (angular averaged) `equal-time consistency relations'. We explicitly demonstrate that the time-flow relations and `equal-time consistency conditions' are only fulfilled at the linear level, and fail at next-to-leading order for an Einstein de-Sitter universe. While applied to the velocities both proposals break down beyond leading order, we find that the `equal-time consistency conditions' quantitatively approximates the perturbative results for the density contrast. Thus, we generalize the background method to properly incorporate the effect of curvature in the density and velocity fluctuations on short scales, and discuss the reasons behind this discrepancy. We conclude with a few comments on practical implementations and future directions. 000291981 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF2-514$$a514 - Theoretical Particle Physics (POF2-514)$$cPOF2-514$$fPOF II$$x0 000291981 588__ $$aDataset connected to INSPIRE 000291981 693__ $$0EXP:(DE-MLZ)NOSPEC-20140101$$5EXP:(DE-MLZ)NOSPEC-20140101$$eNo specific instrument$$x0 000291981 7001_ $$0P:(DE-H253)PIP1015746$$aKonstandin, Thomas$$b1 000291981 7001_ $$aPorto, Rafael A.$$b2 000291981 7001_ $$0P:(DE-H253)PIP1015931$$aSagunski, Laura$$b3 000291981 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2104147-7$$a10.1088/1475-7516/2015/02/026$$gVol. 2015, no. 02, p. 026 - 026$$n02$$p026 -$$tJournal of cosmology and astroparticle physics$$v2015$$x1475-7516$$y2015 000291981 7870_ $$0PUBDB-2014-04194$$aBen-Dayan, Ido et.al.$$d2014$$iIsParent$$rDESY-14-215; arXiv:1411.3225$$tOn Soft Limits of Large-Scale Structure Correlation Functions 000291981 8564_ $$uhttp://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1475-7516/2015/02/026/meta;jsessionid=795CA2334B6F95DC80D347FE8C62462E.c2.iopscience.cld.iop.org 000291981 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/291981/files/JCAP02%282015%29026.pdf$$yOpenAccess 000291981 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/291981/files/JCAP02%282015%29026.gif?subformat=icon$$xicon$$yOpenAccess 000291981 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/291981/files/JCAP02%282015%29026.jpg?subformat=icon-1440$$xicon-1440$$yOpenAccess 000291981 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/291981/files/JCAP02%282015%29026.jpg?subformat=icon-180$$xicon-180$$yOpenAccess 000291981 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/291981/files/JCAP02%282015%29026.jpg?subformat=icon-640$$xicon-640$$yOpenAccess 000291981 8564_ $$uhttps://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/291981/files/JCAP02%282015%29026.pdf?subformat=pdfa$$xpdfa$$yOpenAccess 000291981 909CO $$ooai:bib-pubdb1.desy.de:291981$$pdnbdelivery$$pdriver$$pVDB$$popen_access$$popenaire 000291981 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2008985-5$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1018678$$aDeutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron$$b0$$kDESY 000291981 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2008985-5$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1015746$$aDeutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron$$b1$$kDESY 000291981 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2008985-5$$6P:(DE-H253)PIP1015931$$aDeutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron$$b3$$kDESY 000291981 9132_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-611$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-610$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-600$$aDE-HGF$$bForschungsbereich Materie$$lMaterie und Universum$$vFundamental Particles and Forces $$x0 000291981 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF2-514$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF2-510$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF2-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF2$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bStruktur der Materie$$lElementarteilchenphysik$$vTheoretical Particle Physics$$x1 000291981 9141_ $$y2015 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR$$bJ COSMOL ASTROPART P : 2014 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)9905$$2StatID$$aIF >= 5$$bJ COSMOL ASTROPART P : 2014 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0111$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0510$$2StatID$$aOpenAccess 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Physical, Chemical and Earth Sciences 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0420$$2StatID$$aNationallizenz 000291981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bThomson Reuters Master Journal List 000291981 9201_ $$0I:(DE-H253)T-20120731$$kT$$lTheorie-Gruppe$$x0 000291981 980__ $$ajournal 000291981 980__ $$aVDB 000291981 980__ $$areport 000291981 980__ $$aI:(DE-H253)T-20120731 000291981 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000291981 9801_ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000291981 9801_ $$aFullTexts
