Discrimination of models with additional Z-bosons at muon colliders
2024DPG-Frühjahrstagung , "Karlsruhe 2024", Karlsruhe Institute of TechnologyKarlsruhe, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, 4 Mar 2024 - 8 Mar 20242024-03-042024-03-08
We study the discovery reach and discrimination power of future muon colliders for a variety of Z'-models, such as the Left-Right Symmetric Model or the Sequential Standard Model. The study is carried out by combining a set of observables for leptonic and hadronic channels, together with the respective estimated systematic and statistical uncertainties. [...]

An overview on DAPHNE4NFDI activities at DESY
2024DAPHNE4NFDI Annual Meeting , DresdenDresden, Germany, 11 Mar 2024 - 13 Mar 20242024-03-112024-03-13
In this talk, we present an overview of DAPHNE4NFDI activities at DESY. The discussed topics are in general related to TA1, TA2, and TA3 and will give an idea of which technical developments were achieved so far at DESY in the context of DAPHNE4NFDI.We highlight work areas which emerged from our demonstrator beamlines at PETRAIII and FLASH and have a general but DESY specific character and outline the different purposes of other SciCat instances we deploy. In addition, we will give an overview on FS-Scientific Computing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) work in DAPHNE4NFDI. Search for singly-produced vector-like top quark decaying to top and Higgs inopposite sign di-lepton final state in proton-proton collision at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13TeV
2024DPG Spring Meeting (German Physical Society), DPG2024, KarlsruheKarlsruhe, Germany, 4 Mar 2024 - 8 Mar 20242024-03-042024-03-08
As an extension of the standard model, Vector Like Quarks provide a possible solution to various unsolved issues, such as the hierarchy problem. This analysis focuses on the single production of the vector-like top quark T′, in the decay channel T′→ tH (H→ WW), in the final state with two opposite sign leptons. [...]

Fast Generation of High Dimensional Point Clouds for Calorimeter Simulation
20246th Inter-experiment Machine Learning Workshop, IML2024, CERN, GenevaCERN, Geneva, Switzerland, 29 Jan 2024 - 2 Feb 20242024-01-292024-02-02
In High Energy Physics, detailed and time-consuming simulations are used for particle interactions with detectors. To bypass these simulations with a generative model, the generation of large point clouds in a short time is required, while the complex dependencies between the particles must be correctly modelled [...]

Future in Collisions - The need for an $e^+e^-$ Higgs factory
2024DPG Frühjahrstagung 2024, KITKarlsruhe, KIT, Germany, 4 Mar 2024 - 8 Mar 20242024-03-042024-03-08
The European Strategy Update for Particle Physics in 2020 and the corresponding US Particle Physics Prioritization Panel report 2023 as well as strategy processes in the Asian region have appointed an 𝑒+𝑒− Higgs factory as the most important future project in collider physics. In this talk, the motivation and reasoning behind this decision will be laid out why ultrahigh precision measurements of the most unique particle in the cosmos, the Higgs boson, as well as the top quark and the weak gauge bosons chart the path for our deeper understanding of the microcosm (and hence the structure of the universe) in the best possible way.
