%T Interaction of rare earth aluminates in the PrAlO<sub>3</sub>-and LaAlO<sub>3</sub>-based systems

%X Series of Pr<sub>1−x</sub>R<sub>x</sub>AlO<sub>3</sub> and La<sub>1−x</sub>R<sub>x</sub>AlO<sub>3</sub> (R – rare earth element) specimens were preparedby a combination of solid-state reaction in air and arc-melting in Ar atmosphere. Crystalstructure, thermal expansion and phase transformation of Pr<sub>1−x</sub>R<sub>x</sub>AlO<sub>3</sub> and La<sub>1−x</sub>R<sub>x</sub>AlO<sub>3</sub> solidsolution have been investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction technique and thermalanalysis in wide temperature range. The phase diagrams of some PrAlO<sub>3</sub>−RAlO<sub>3</sub> andLaAlO<sub>3</sub>−RAlO<sub>3</sub> pseudo-binary systems have been constructed.
