Studien zur Bestimmung der Di-Higgs-Masse mitHilfe neuronaler Netze

(di-Higgs) events using simulated data from the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider ata center-of-mass energy of √s = 13TeV and an integrated luminosity of 140 fb−1. In the studiedchannel, one Higgs boson decays into a bottom quark-antiquark pair (b¯b), the other into two photons(γγ) [...]

Search for long-lived Axion-like Particlesproduced in Higgs Boson Decays with theATLAS Detector
111 pp. (2024)2024 = Masterarbeit, Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, 2024
In the endeavour to understand the fundamental components of the universe, the search for newparticles beyond the Standard Model of particle physics is a pivotal task. Axion-like particles (ALPs)are among the prime targets of this search, arising in various theoretical frameworks, includingquantum chromodynamics, supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics orstring theory. [...]

The Tangerine group at DESY, Hamburg, investigates the potential of Monolithic Active PixelSensors (MAPS) manufactured in a novel 65 nm CMOS imaging process with small collectionelectrode design, as a candidate technology for vertex and tracking detectors in future leptoncollider experiments. One of the activities undertaken to explore the technology is the char-acterisation of prototypes through the analysis of test beam measurements. [...]

Timing Performance of the DESY Chip V2 in a 65 nm CIS Technology
87 pp. (2025)2025 = Masterarbeit, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, 2025
Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS) produced in CMOS image sensor (CIS) technology are a promising candidate for meeting the stringent requirements for vertex detectors at future lepton colliders. Recently, a 65 nm CIS process has become available to the high-energy physics community, offering enhanced integration density and lowered power consumption. [...]

On Higher-Order Contributions to the Trilinear Higgs Self-Coupling in the SM and Beyond
83 pp. (2025)2025 = Masterarbeit, University of Hamburg, 2025
We present a precision computation of the trilinear Higgs boson self-coupling \(\lambda_{hhh}\) in the Standard Model (SM) and the Type-II Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model (\text{THDM}) in the alignment limit, both with vanishing external momenta for the vertex, employing a fully on-shell renormalization scheme. Our analysis includes all one-loop corrections and, for the first time to our knowledge, the dominant two-loop top- and bottom-Yukawa contributions of \(\mathcal{O}(N_c^2)\). [...]

Identification of Charged Leptons in Jets at Future Higgs Factories
Hamburg 131 pp. (2022)2022 = Masterarbeit, University of Hamburg, 2022
The 2012 discovery of the 12 GeV Higgs boson at the LHC, and of no other particle since then, have brought a consensus to the particle physics community that an e+e- Higgs factory is the highest priority next collider. However, Higgs measurements suffer from the loss of undetected neutrino energy due to semi-leptonic decays (SLDs) in the most common decay mode H to b anti-b. [...]

Denoising Methods for Multi-Dimensional Photoemission Spectroscopy
Aachen : RWTH Aachen 92 pp. (2024)2024 = Masterarbeit, RWTH Aachen, 2025
The probabilistic nature of photoemission, combined with the exploration of large multidimensional parameter spaces–including momentum, energy, time and spin polarization–necessitates time-intensive data acquisition to ensure statistical robustness. These measurements are especially important for capturing ultrafast phenomena, where pulsed light sources, such as free-electron lasers (FELs), become indispensable due to their ability to deliver high-brightness, ultrashort X-ray pulses. [...]
