Multiparton Interactions, Small-x Processes and Diffraction
[arxiv:1712.01726]
[Ebook] Multiple parton interactions at the LHC / Gaunt, Jonathan Richard ; Bartalini, Paolo , Singapore : World Scientific, 2018, Singapore : WSP, Advanced series on directions in high energy physics 29, 303 - 311 () [10.1142/9789813227767_0014]  GO
The connection between multiparton interaction, diffractive processes and saturation effects is discussed. The relation of the rise of the gluon density at small longitudinal momentum fractions x with the occurrence of saturation, diffraction and multi-parton interaction is being studied both experimentally and theoretically. Absolute reflectance of a concave mirror used for astro-particle physics experiments
The absolute reflectance of a reflector and its point spread function are the key parameters of a telescope for measuring light flux. Typically, one is using low-cost technologies for producing mirrors for the needs of astro-particle physics experiments [...]

Discovery of TeV γ-ray emission from the neighbourhood of the supernova remnant G24.7+0.6 by MAGIC
SNR G24.7+0.6 is a 9.5 kyrs radio and γ-ray supernova remnant evolving in a dense medium. In the GeV regime, SNR G24.7+0.6 (3FHL J1834.1–0706e/FGES J1834.1–0706) shows a hard spectral index (Γ ∼ 2) up to 200 GeV, which makes it a good candidate to be observed with Cherenkov telescopes such as MAGIC [...]
