Bootstrapping an Argyres-Douglas theory
Joint Seminar ULB, VUB, KUL and UMons, Universite libre de BruxellesBrussels, Universite libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, 9 May 2018 - 9 May 20182018-05-092018-05-09
We approach the "simplest" Argyres-Douglas theory by employing numerical and analytical bootstrap techniques. After reviewing the tools at our disposal, we use them to attempt to "zoom in" to the theory by specifying Coulomb branch data, and obtain constraints on its operator spectrum and OPE coefficients. [...]

On dS vacua in string theory
seminar, DESYCornell University, DESY, USA, 13 Mar 20182018-03-13  GO
Using a 10D lift of non-perturbative volume stabilization in type IIB string theory we find that the simplest KKLT vacua cannot be uplifted to de Sitter space upon inclusion of SUSY breaking sources like warped anti-branes. We interpret this result in terms of a 'flattening' of the potential due to stronger back-reaction on the volume modulus than has previously been anticipated. [...]

Pole N-flation
Seminar, Stanford UniversityStanford, Stanford University, USA, 22 Mar 20182018-03-22  GO
This talk will describe progress towards an N-flationary version of ‘pole' or 'alpha-attractor inflation'. We will discuss the generic features of this class of models, including their predictions for CMB observables. [...]

Proposal of new BSM searches at the LHC and at telescopes
 GO
The LHC has pushed the scale of the needed new physics (NP) beyond the ~ TeV range. How to experimentally test NP models at and beyond those scales?A first possibility is to look for low energy remnants of such theories, like pseudo-Goldstone bosons (aka ALPs) from an approximate global symmetry. [...]

The flattened road to acceleration in string theory
DAMTP Wednesday HEP-GR Colloquium, Cambridge UniversityCambridge, Cambridge University, United Kingdom, 21 Feb 2018 - 21 Feb 20182018-02-212018-02-21  GO
Stages of accelerated expansion during the history of the universe – both a very late and very early variant – have very strong support from cosmological data. A phase of (almost) de Sitter space-time can describe both stages of acceleration, both the extremely tiny dark energy of today and the stage of cosmological inflation early on. [...]
