3D Electron Diffraction as GIWAXS Alternative for Quantitative Structural Characterization of Organic Solar Cells
arXiv () [10.48550/ARXIV.2502.11254]  GO
We demonstrate elastically filtered 3D Electron Diffraction (3D ED) as a powerful alternative technique to Grazing Incidence Wide-Angle X-ray Scattering (GIWAXS) for quantitatively characterizing the structure of organic semiconductor films. Using a model material system of solvent vapor annealed DRCN5T:PC71BM thin film, which is employed in organic solar cells (OSCs), we extract the structural data obtained from 3D ED and compare with that from GIWAXS, utilizing both laboratory and synchrotron X-ray sources. Exploration of chemical probes and conformational flexibility of GID4 - the substrate receptor of human CTLH E3 ligase complex
Biorxiv () [10.1101/2025.07.01.662521]  GO
The application of targeted protein degradation (TPD) is currently constrained by the limited availability of low-molecular-weight molecules that can recruit E3 ligases other than CRBN (Cereblon) or VHL (Von Hippel-Lindau ligase). In this study, we present the structure-based drug design (SBDD) of high-affinity ligands that engage E3 ligase GID4 (Glucose-induced degradation protein 4) in biophysical and cellular experiments. Screening of 3d metals as A-elements in MAX phase Nb$_2$SnC and their effects on the magnetic properties of the solid solutions Nb$_2$(Sn$_{1-x}$A$_x$)C
The chemical versatility of MAX phases has increased almost exponentially over the last two decades, especially because of the synthesis/discovery of new solid solution phases. Many elements challenge the traditional ternary MAX phase compositions because they can be incorporated into the structure by alloying with another element despite not forming MAX phases by themselves [...]

Observation of $t\bar{t}\gamma\gamma$ production at $\sqrt{s}=$13 TeV with the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-125; arXiv:2506.05018]
This paper presents the first observation of top-quark pair production in association with two photons ($t\bar{t}\gamma\gamma$). The measurement is performed in the single-lepton decay channel using proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. [...]

Measurements of differential cross-sections of $WbWb$ production in the dilepton channel in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV using the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-094; arXiv:2506.14700]
At the Large Hadron Collider, the $WbWb$ final state is expected to be dominated by $t\bar{t}$ production with a contribution from single-top processes. Differential cross-sections for $WbWb$ production in the dilepton decay channel are measured at the particle level as a function of various kinematic variables. [...]

Search for single production of vector-like quarks decaying into $W(\ell ν)b$ in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-098; arXiv:2506.15515]
A search for single production of a vector-like quark $Q$, which could be either a singlet $T$, with charge $\tfrac23$, or a $Y$ from a $(T,B,Y)$ triplet, with charge $-\tfrac43$, is performed using data from proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The data correspond to the full integrated luminosity of 140 fb$^{-1}$ recorded with the ATLAS detector during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider. [...]

Search for squarks and gluinos in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV and $13.6$ TeV in events with $τ$-leptons, jets and missing transverse momentum using the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-132; arXiv:2507.00296]
A search for R-parity-conserving supersymmetry in events with large missing transverse momentum, jets and at least one hadronically decaying $τ$-lepton is presented. Both gluino and squark pair production are considered, with the cascade decay of each gluino or squark producing either a $τ$-slepton or a $τ$-sneutrino. [...]

Search for decays of the Higgs boson into scalar particles decaying into four or six $b$-quarks using $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}= 13\,\mathrm{TeV}$ with the ATLAS detector
[CERN-EP-2025-121; arXiv:2507.01165]
A search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson $H$ into new scalar or pseudoscalar particles that subsequently decay into $b$-quarks is presented. The search considers $ZH$ production with several decay scenarios for the Higgs boson: first to a pair of identical scalars, $H\rightarrow 2a \rightarrow 4b$, second to a pair of scalars with different masses ($m_{a1}<m_{a2}$), either directly, $H\rightarrow a_1a_2 \rightarrow 4b$, or via a longer decay chain, $H \rightarrow a_1a_2 \rightarrow 3a_1 \rightarrow 6b$. Measurement of the top-quark pole mass in dileptonic $t\bar{t}+ 1\text{-jet}$ events at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS experiment
[CERN-EP-2025-135; arXiv:2507.02632]
A measurement of the top-quark pole mass $m_{t}^\text{pole}$ is presented in $t\bar{t}$ events with an additional jet, $t\bar{t}+1\text{-jet}$, produced in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV. The data sample, recorded with the ATLAS experiment during Run 2 of the LHC, corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 $\text{fb}^{-1}$. [...]

Attosecond Inner-Shell Lasing at Angstrom Wavelengths
[arXiv:2409.06914]
Since the invention of the laser nonlinear effects such as filamentation, Rabi-cycling and collective emission have been explored in the optical regime leading to a wide range of scientific and industrial applications. X-ray free electron lasers (XFELs) have led to the extension of many optical techniques to X-rays for their advantages of angstrom scale spatial resolution and elemental specificity. [...]
