Performance and track-based alignment of the Phase-1 upgraded CMS pixel detector
EPS Conference on High Energy Physics, EPS-HEP2017, Meeting locationVenice, Italy, 5 Jul 2017 - 12 Jul 20172017-07-052017-07-12
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector is a multi-purpose detector constructed in order tostudy high-energy particle collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. The all-silicondesign of the tracking system of the CMS experiment provided excellent resolution for chargedtracks and an efficient tagging of jets during Run 1 and Run 2 of the LHC. [...]

Search for MSSM Higgs bosons and beyond at CMS
EPS Conference on High Energy Physics, EPS-HEP2017, Meeting locationVenice, Italy, 5 Jul 2017 - 12 Jul 20172017-07-052017-07-12
Searches for beyond the Standard Model (BSM) Higgs bosons are presented, particularly in thecontext of MSSM and Higgs Triplet Model, including a neutral Higgs boson decays into twotau leptons, charged Higgs bosons in decays of tau lepton and neutrino, charged Higgs bosons indecays of vector bosons, and doubly-charged Higgs boson in three and four lepton final states. Thedata is collected with the CMS detector at the LHC which corresponds to integrated luminositiesof 2.3 and 12.9 fb􀀀1 at center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV in 2015 and 2016, respectively [...]

Measurements of the top quark properties at production with CMS
EPS Conference on High Energy Physics, EPS-HEP2017, Meeting locationVenice, Italy, 5 Jul 2017 - 12 Jul 20172017-07-052017-07-12
Several measurements of top quark properties are presented using data collected by the CMS experimentat the centre-of-mass-energy of 8 TeV. The properties are mostly probed in production of thetop quarks. [...]

Measurements of the Higgs H(125) boson at CMS
6th International Conference on New Frontiers in Physics, ICNFP17, Meeting locationKolymbari, Greece, 17 Aug 2017 - 26 Aug 20172017-08-172017-08-26
The talk reviews the measurements of the 125 GeV Higgs boson in several final states, performedby the CMS collaboration. The main focus is on results obtained with data from LHC proton-protoncollisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV..

Associated production of $Z$ bosons and $b$-jets at the LHC in the combined $k_T$ + collinear QCD factorization approach
[DESY-17-126; arXiv:1708.07079] ddc:530
We consider the production of Z bosons associated with beauty quarks at the LHC using a combined $k_T$ + collinear QCD factorization approach, which interpolates between small x and large x physics. Our consideration is based on the off-shell gluon–gluon fusion subprocess $g^* g^* \rightarrow Z Q\bar{Q}$ at the leading order $\mathcal{O}(\alpha \alpha _s^2)$ (where the Z boson further decays into a lepton pair), calculated in the $k_T$ -factorization approach, and several subleading $\mathcal{O}(\alpha \alpha _s^2 )$ and $\mathcal{O}(\alpha \alpha _s^3 )$ subprocesses involving quark–antiquark and quark–gluon interactions, taken into account in conventional (collinear) QCD factorization. [...]

Measurement of the differential cross section for top-quark-pair production in the dilepton channel at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV with the CMS detector
[arXiv:1611.09657; SNSN-323-63]
 GO
Measurements of normalized differential top-quark-pair ($t\bar{t}$) production cross sections are performed using final states with two leptons ($e^+e^-$, $\mu^+\mu^-$, and $e^\pm\mu^\mp$) in proton-proton ($pp$) collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV at the CERN LHC. The data were recorded in 2015 with the CMS detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 2.2 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Towards the next generation of simplified Dark Matter models
[arXiv:1607.06680] ddc:530
This White Paper is an input to the ongoing discussion about the extension and refinement of simplified Dark Matter (DM) models. It is not intended as a comprehensive review of the discussed subjects, but instead summarises ideas and concepts arising from a brainstorming workshop that can be useful when defining the next generation of simplified DM models (SDMM). We present results from a Parton branching solution of the DGLAP equation at LO, NLO and NNLO which is is capable to extract both the collinear part and the transverse momentum de-pendent part of the parton densities. We demonstrate that within our method the collinear part of parton densities exactly corresponds to the semi-analytical solution of the DGLAP equation up to NNLO. [...]
