The transverse momentum spectrum of low mass Drell-Yan production at next-to-leading order in the parton branching method
[DESY 20-006; arXiv:2001.06488]
The transverse momentum spectrum of low mass Drell-Yan (DY) production at low center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}$ is calculated by applying transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distributions obtained from the Parton Branching (PB) evolution method, combined with the next-to-leading-order (NLO) calculation of the hard process in the MCatNLO method. We compare our predictions with experimental measurements at low DY mass, and find very good agreement. [...]

Measurement of differential cross sections for inclusive isolated-photon and photon+jets production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV
[arXiv:1807.00782; CMS-SMP-16-003; CERN-EP-2018-167]
Measurements of inclusive isolated-photon and photon+jet production in proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13\,\text {TeV} $ are presented. The analysis uses data collected by the CMS experiment in 2015, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.26 $\,\text {fb}^{-1}$ . [...]

Search for low-mass resonances decaying into bottom quark-antiquark pairs in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV
[arXiv:1810.11822; CMS-EXO-17-024; CERN-EP-2018-251]
A search for narrow, low-mass, scalar, and pseudoscalar resonances decaying to bottom quark-antiquark pairs is presented. The search is based on events recorded in s=13  TeV proton-proton collisions with the CMS detector at the LHC, collected in 2016, and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9  fb-1. [...]

Erratum: Dose rate effects in the radiation damage of the plastic scintillators of the CMS hadron endcap calorimeter
[arXiv:1608.07267]
We present measurements of the reduction of light output by plastic scintillators irradiated in the CMS detector during the 8 TeV run of the Large Hadron Collider and show that they indicate a strong dose rate effect. The damage for a given dose is larger for lower dose rate exposures. [...]

Searches for physics beyond the standard model with the $M_\mathrm{T2}$ variable in hadronic final states with and without disappearing tracks in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV
[arXiv:1909.03460; CMS-SUS-19-005; CERN-EP-2019-180]
Two related searches for phenomena beyond the standard model (BSM) are performed using events with hadronic jets and significant transverse momentum imbalance. The results are based on a sample of proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $13\,\text {Te}\text {V} $, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016–2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137$\,\text {fb}^{-1}$. Search for low mass vector resonances decaying into quark-antiquark pairs in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV
[arXiv:1909.04114; CMS-EXO-18-012; CERN-EP-2019-176]
A search for low mass narrow vector resonances decaying into quark-antiquark pairs is presented. The analysis is based on data collected in 2017 with the CMS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 41.1  fb-1. Combined search for supersymmetry with photons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV
[arXiv:1907.00857; CMS-SUS-18-005; CERN-EP-2019-114]
A combination of four searches for new physics involving signatures with at least one photon and large missing transverse momentum, motivated by generalized models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking, is presented. All searches make use of proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV, which were recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC in 2016, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. Extraction and validation of a new set of CMS PYTHIA8 tunes from underlying-event measurements
[arXiv:1903.12179; CMS-GEN-17-001; CERN-EP-2019-007]
New sets of CMS underlying-event parameters (“tunes”) are presented for the pythia8 event generator. These tunes use the NNPDF3.1 parton distribution functions (PDFs) at leading (LO), next-to-leading (NLO), or next-to-next-to-leading (NNLO) orders in perturbative quantum chromodynamics, and the strong coupling evolution at LO or NLO. Dark Matter Benchmark Models for Early LHC Run-2 Searches: Report of the ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum
[arXiv:1507.00966; FERMILAB-PUB-15-282-CD]
This document is the final report of the ATLAS-CMS Dark Matter Forum, a forum organized by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations with the participation of experts on theories of Dark Matter, to select a minimal basis set of dark matter simplified models that should support the design of the early LHC Run-2 searches. A prioritized, compact set of benchmark models is proposed, accompanied by studies of the parameter space of these models and a repository of generator implementations. [...]

LHC Dark Matter Working Group: Next-generation spin-0 dark matter models
[arXiv:1810.09420; CERN-LPCC-2018-02]
Dark matter (DM) simplified models are by now commonly used by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations to interpret searches for missing transverse energy ( ETmiss ). The coherent use of these models sharpened the LHC DM search program, especially in the presentation of its results and their comparison to DM direct-detection (DD) and indirect-detection (ID) experiments.
